Telford council website goes down on secondary school deadline day
Telford & Wrekin Council's website went down today, causing problems for parents applying for secondary school places.
Today is the deadline for applications for next year's secondary school admissions.
But the council took to social media to warn parents that it is experiencing technical issues and its website was down.
Because of the problems, it has extending the application deadline.
Telford & Wrekin Council Customer Service took to Twitter to add that work was already underway to get the connectivity problems resolved as soon as possible.
The deadline for secondary school places was due to be midnight tonight, but has now been stretched until 12 noon tomorrow.
The website was back online shortly before 10am.
