Firefighters called to Ludlow house fire after plastic left on cooker top

Firefighters were called out to a house fire after plastic was left on top of a cooker.

The fire happened at Lime Close in Ludlow this afternoon.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "At 3.05pm on Monday, May 1, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a property fire in Ludlow.

"Small fire due to plastic material left on top of cooker. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire." A thermal imaging camera was also used.

Two fire engines were sent from Cleobury Mortimer and Craven Arms. An operations officer was in attendance.
