Shropshire barn crash woman died despite efforts of passers-by
A woman who suffered serious head and chest injuries when the car she was driving struck a barn near Ludlow has died in hospital.

Ann Ellen Reckless, 59, was resuscitated by passers-by after the red Suzuki Alto left the road near the Old Post Office, in Bucknell, at about 12.30am on August 6.
The inquest that opened this week was told that Miss Reckless, a bed and breakfast operator, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in Birmingham.
However, Miss Reckless who was also known as Ann Eluned Davies, died on August 14 despite efforts to save her.
Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin coroners’ officer Julie Hartridge told the hearing: “The car failed to negotiate a right hand bend and collided with the corner of a barn.”
She added that there were no suspicious circumstances.
The matter was adjourned until November 13 when it will next be heard at Shrewsbury’s Shirehall.
Miss Reckless, who was single, suffered multiple injuries.
Following the collision West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “On arrival ambulance staff found a woman in her 50s who had been pulled from the wreckage of the car she was in, with excellent CPR being carried out.
"Ambulance staff took over and managed to get the woman breathing again for herself. She was immobilised before the crew set off towards the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.”
West Mercia Police also launched appeal for witnesses to the crash to come forward. No one else was injured.
