Every time that someone calls A-Plan Insurance in Shrewsbury for a quote for a new car, home, van or business insurance policy and mentions ‘IT4Schools’, the company will donate £10 to the client’s preferred school – even if they don’t take out a policy.

The campaign will run until the end of March.

Chris Beane, A-Plan’s Shrewsbury branch manager said: “Being part of the local community has always been at the heart of what we do here at A Plan, and it is now more important than ever.  That’s why the team and I are delighted to be supporting the IT for schools campaign to help education in the area.

"These are challenging times for schools, parents and pupils. This idea started when we offered help to colleagues who were finding home schooling a real challenge. Our hope is that this will go some way to offering IT support to those who really need it. We want to spread this message throughout the area because the more quote requests we get, the more we can donate.

"Schools in Shropshire, and indeed everywhere, have been on a rollercoaster ride over the past year and have had to react quickly at every turn. A-Plan is keen to support wherever it can.”

Mr Beane added: "It’s a real win-win situation for a local business and its community, as we could help local people save money on their insurance and get good quality insurance advice at the same time as contributing to a very good cause, irrespective of whether a policy is taken out.”
