Firefighters put out blazing hedgerow

Firefighters took less than half an hour to put out a hedgerow on fire in Oswestry.

One crew from Ellesmere fire station was scrambled at 7.10am this morning (Tuesday) to a report of a fire in the open at Cottage Lane in Oswestry.

When they arrived they found an eight metre (26 ft) section of hedgerow on fire.

They used a hosereel water jet to put out the flames before sending their incident stop message at 7.38am.
