Cattle rustlers have struck near Oswestry

Police believe a two-year-old, black Limousine cow was stolen from a field beside the canal at Maesbury Marsh between December 10 and 11.

The incident was reported on December 13 after local enquires failed to find the animal.

Police are urging people who may have seen a suspicious vehicle in the area to contact them.

A spokesman said farmers and those with livestock should be vigilant and report suspicious persons, vehicles or activity to the police on 101.
