Planning officers say the application for the new housing at The Cross in West Felton, is a detailed application after the site was given outline planning permission.

They say that the layout, scale, appearance and landscaping of the site are acceptable and would not have an unacceptable adverse impact on the locality .

A footpath connecting the development to the village would help road safety, a report to Tuesday's north planning committee of Shropshire Council says.

West Felton Parish Council has objected to the application.

Parish Councillors say the application do not address a number of the conditions that were part of the planning permission including drainage.

It is concerned about soakaways located in the back gardens or proposed properties.

There are also worries that no details of the footpath, which councillors say is a key element of the application, in the plans.

Eight individuals have also objected saying the homes will mean a loss of agricultural land and put pressure on local roads including the junctions onto the A5 and also put pressure on the primary school.
