Scott Morris, 31, from Newtown, was riding a blue Kawasaki motorcycle on September 30, when he crashed into a parked and unattended Ford Fiesta on Ryelands Street, in Hereford, at around 6am.

He was later pronounced dead at Hereford County Hospital.

A fundraising page was set up to raise £1,000 towards the costs of his funeral at justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dinah-jennings-4

It was set up by Dinah Jennings, who posted on the page: "Scott's life was tragically taken from his loved ones. Their world changed on the 30th of September 2018. Scott left behind his children, family and his loving girlfriend Stacey.

"Scott was an easy going guy who was loved by everyone.

"Everyone has their own memory of Scott and that will continue to live on. The family ask for the support of everyone that knew him to help raise funds for his funeral to give Scott the send off he deserves and the final farewell from his from children family and friends. Xxx."

The page had reached £750 by yesterday but an anonymous donation of £250 last night saw it hit the £1,000 mark. Donations can till be given.

Friends of Mr Morris, who worked as a mechanic, are appealing for help from those in the motor trade to help them finish restoring a Ford Transit recovery truck Scott had been working on before he died. They hope to have the truck finished by the date of his funeral next week.

Family members posted tributes on social media, and confirmed his funeral will take place in Aberhafesp on October 17.

An inquest has been opened and adjourned, and West Mercia Police is appealing for information about the incident.

Sergeant Kerry Welding said: "To assist our investigation we're keen to speak to anyone who might have witnessed the incident or has any other information that could help with our enquiries."

Anyone with information is asked to contact West Mercia police on 101 quoting incident number 155S of 30 September.
