Celf-Able runs sessions across the county for all disabled and non-disabled artists and people who just want to have a go at art.

The day long meeting will take place on April 2 at the Oriel Davies Education Room, in Newtown.

Amanda Wells, voluntary co-ordinator, said: "We will be discussing how to take the group forward to its next stage of development. The open committee meeting will run from 11 until noon and all are welcome. After lunch from 1.30 to 3pm there will be an art session, again all welcome.

"We are particularly keen to welcome potential volunteers and directors, especially anyone who is experienced in supporting people with their access requirements who might want to help at group meetings, people with financial management skills, experience of

managing volunteers, and developing a sustainable organisation. If you would like to find out more, then please come along to the meeting, or e-mail admin@celf-able.org any time."

Art sessions coming up include Wednesday at Siawns Teg, Newtown, March 20 at COWSHACC, Welshpool, March 19 at The Institute, Llanfair Caereinion and March 20 at Mid-Wales Arts Centre, Caersws.

"All sessions run from 11am-3pm but you can pop in and out as you please, there is a small charge of £3."

Amanda said the aim was to reduce isolation and raise awareness of disability arts and disability issues.

"We offer disability equality training, and training and consultancy on a wide range of issues, using arts activities as a delivery method. Celf-Able members come from different and varied backgrounds and have a wide range of skills and experiences to bring."
