Driver escapes with minor injuries after car hits a tree

A driver escaped with minor injuries after his car hit a tree near Much Wenlock.

The collision happened on the A458 in Harley Bank near Much Wenlock at around 12.20am on Monday (17).

Emergency services responded to 999 calls and discovered that a hatchback had hit a tree.

Firefighters from Much Wenlock and Telford helped the driver out of the car.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said the driver, a man, was treated by ambulance staff for minor injuries before being taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further treatment.
