Police confirmed that a male was issued a fine last night after visiting a neighbour who was not part of his support bubble.

The fine is £200, or £100 if paid within 14 days.

Last week it was confirmed that West Mercia Police officers had issued fewer fines in the Shropshire Council area than in any of the other regions the force covers.

Herefordshire had received the most, with Telford & Wrekin second. Shropshire also came bottom in the rate of fines issued per head of population.
