A Mid Wales family's decision to leave the dairy industry has resulted in a dispersal sale of farm implements, machinery and vehicles next weekend.
Mr and Mrs Alan Richards have farmed at Great Weston, Montgomery, for a number of years and established a productive Jersey dairy herd, which has now been sold.
"The Richards family has built up a wide and varied selection of farm machinery, implements and vehicles which should be of interest to all prospective purchasers," said David Giles, a director of Halls who is conducting the dispersal sale on Saturday, September 15 at 11am.
Going under the hammer will be a Same Explorer II tractor with loader, a Case International 895, a Keenan Klassik 100 diet feeder and a useful Manitou Manireach 2600 with many attachments for both loaders.
Of interest to local livestock farmers is the entire clamp of 2007 silage, which has been analysed and unopened this year.
This silage can be removed throughout the winter.
There is also a broad range of livestock equipment and feeders together with a selection of small tools and sundries.
