Crews were called at about 1.10pm to a report of a collision between two saloon cars.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said one person had to be cut free from the wreckage, and emergency crews were still at the scene at about 2pm.
Earlier, at about 9.35am, crews were called to Spoonley, near Market Drayton, with a report that a person was trapped after a one-car crash, but the driver was found to have got free on arrival.
