Just three secondary schools and one special school in the county have achieved the prestigious classification, which is only awarded to schools excelling in all areas.

Twelve of the outstanding schools are in Shropshire Council’s administrative area, and 13 are in Telford and Wrekin.

While some grades result from recent inspections, several of the outstanding schools have not undergone a full inspection for up to 14 years.
