Quarter of Powys secondary schools to close
Three of the 12 secondary schools in Powys will be closed under plans to reorganise education in the county.

Powys County Council confirmed the proposal, which comes under its "secondary reorganisation programme", yesterday.
Plans also suggest creating "at least" one medium-sized secondary school.
The council's cabinet will now consider whether to proceed with the plan at its next meeting on January 27.
However, Powys County Council has not revealed the identity of the schools under threat.
