Pupils at Market Drayton school hail good Ofsted report
A school in Market Drayton has been upgraded from satisfactory to good following a report by education watchdogs.

Market Drayton Infant School, in Longslow Road, was visited by Ofsted inspectors for two days last month and has been rated as "good" overall.
But their report said the school is making good progress and could become outstanding in future inspections if it continues to improve.
Headteacher Sam Scott said: "Anyone who knows the school will appreciate that we never stand still. We are always finding better ways of learning.
"But I am pleased that in its snapshot inspection of where we are now, Ofsted has joined our staff, governors, pupils and parents in knowing that ours is a very good school."
The school was rated as good in achievement of pupils, quality of teaching, leadership and management, while the behaviour and safety of pupils was rated as outstanding.
The report said: "Their love of learning is evident in every classroom, from the playgroup to Year Two. Pupils are eager to embrace the next stage in their education, confident in the skills they have learned and with high aspirations."
John Hargreaves, chairman of governors, said: "I am thrilled that the inspectors recognised our pupils' outstanding attitudes to learning and the way we are helping them so they will be able to make the most of the years in education ahead of them."
The report states that progress remains good through Key Stage 1 and has led to year-on-year improvements in standards in reading, writing and mathematics where they are above average.
However, it says that the school is not yet outstanding as the gap between boys and girls in writing, despite narrowing, is still wider than found nationally.
It also states that not all lessons provide varied and inspirational teaching strategies, to ensure pupils can make exceptional progress.
