Telford murder probe: Three women in court on charges of perverting the course of justice

Three women have appeared in court charged with perverting the course of justice during a murder investigation in Telford.

The three appeared separately in front of Deputy District Judge James Hulse, who was sitting at Telford Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

They were all ordered to attend Shrewsbury Crown Court on October 31 and released on conditional bail, being told not to contact witnesses.

Antony Wootton, aged 41, was found dead in a car park in Gresley Close in Woodside on Monday July 17.

On 21 July, Ashley Harris, 31, of Armstrong Close, Telford, was charged with murder and was remanded in custody after appearing at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court.

Three women have been charged with committing an act / series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice. One of the women has also been charged with assisting an offender.

Julie Allie, aged 40, of Armstrong Close, Telford, was represented by Chloe Byrne, of WMB Law.

Allie has been charged with commiting an act / series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice and assisting an offender.

She was told to appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court on October 31 on conditional bail that she does not contact five named people.

Kimberley Juru, aged 37, of Armstrong Close, Telford, was charged with committing an act / series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice.

She was represented in court by Martin McNamara, of WMB Law and was ordered to appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court on October 31.

She was also released on conditional bail that she does not contact named witnesses.

Andrea Louise Edge, 48, of Newcomen Way, Telford was also charged with committing an act / series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice.

Edge was represented in court by Martin McNamara, of WMB Law.

She was told that a charge of perverting the course of justice could only be dealt with at the crown court.
