Man who smashed car wing mirror on trip to seaside town must pay £400 compensation

A man who smashed a car wing mirror on a trip to a seaside town has been ordered to pay compensation.

Ben Richards, aged 30, caused £414 worth of damage to the electric mirror of a Ford C-Max in Barmouth, Wales on March 1 last year.

Richards, of Coronation Crescent, Madeley, Telford, pleaded guilty at Kidderminster Magistrates Court to one count of criminal damage.

He was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £414 to the victim. Richards must also pay £157 in other court costs.
