Police officers in Oswestry received a host of calls regarding thefts and damage in rear gardens of properties in Gobowen over the weekend.

The officers took to social media to warn people about the recent incidents, and to give them advice on how to protect themselves against thefts.

Officers have listed information on how to add simple security measures to sheds and garages, including locking with with large chains, or marking tools with a house number of name to detract burglars from stealing them.
