Man recalled after burglary allegation
A man on licence has been recalled to prison following allegations he was involved in a burglary at a house in Telford.
Gary Michael Turner, aged 29, appeared before the town's magistrates charged with entering as a trespasser of a dwelling in Chapel Grove with intent to steal and driving without insurance on September 20.
No pleas were given at the hearing.
Mr Adam Warner, prosecuting said Turner, of New Road, Wrockwardine Wood, was now being recalled immediately to prison due to his arrest.
He had been sentenced in June 2016 for two years and 11 months along with two other men for a string of burglaries at properties across Shropshire and was released on licence after serving part of the term.
The magistrates also heard that as he was being recalled the defendant was not allowed to apply for bail.
The case was transferred to Shrewsbury Crown court where it will next be heard on October 23.
