Thieves stole pocket watch worth £750

Thieves targeted a repair shop to steal a pocket watch worth £750.

Police said that on Sunday at 12.15pm the watch repair store in Thetford Chase, Telford was targeted by distraction thieves who stole a nine carat rose gold pocket watch.

Officers said the offence took place while the shop assistant was serving two men and counting cash.

One of the men being served was described as mid 30's, olive skinned with a eastern European accent, with short, dark black hair.

He was about 5ft 10in and described as stocky build, wearing a dark coloured t-shirt.

The second man was described as late 30's, with short, dark hair, also stocky and wearing a yellow t-shirt.

A third man was believed to be with the other two but an accurate description has not yet been available.

Police say CCTV images have captured the thieves leaving in the direction of Marks and Spencers.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting incident number 0305 of May 7.
