The Jack Mytton Inn at Hindford, close to Whittington, near Oswestry, was broken into between 11.30pm on Saturday and 10am on Sunday.
Pub owner Ian Spencer-Brown said: "They were in and out very quickly. They didn't take any spirits or computers. They went straight for the money."
Mr Spencer-Brown said: "A window was left partially unlatched. The latch wasn't properly closed, and it could only have been done from the inside during the evening."
