Treble-winning Telford football club to give away thousands of free season tickets to children and military personnel
A treble-winning non-league football club in Telford will give away thousands of free season tickets to children and military personnel.
Telford Town FC has unveiled its 'Future of the Town' campaign where 3,000 free season tickets for the 2025/26 season will be given to children aged between five and 11 years old in a bid to inspire the next generation of supporters.
The complimentary junior season tickets will cover all 18 home league fixtures at the DRM Aggregates Arena in Oakengates - home of Telford Town FC - and must be used in conjunction with a full-paying adult or senior season ticket holder.
It's hoped the move will deepen the club's ties with the local community. The club said it also hopes families can experience the "magic" of matchdays together and hopes they can celebrate the spirit of non-league football.
Furthermore, Telford Town FC is offering a free season ticket to all current and former members of the Armed Forces. The club said it has "deep respect" for those who are serving and have served, and wants to recognise the dedication and sacrifice made by servicemen and women.
Residents can claim their complimentary season ticket by contacting the club via email or social media.

Telford Town FC claimed an incredible treble last season, winning the West Midlands League Premier Division - losing just once all season while also going unbeaten at home - to secure promotion to the North West Counties League Division One South - step six of non-league football.
The club also won the Powell Cup, beating Haughmond in the final on penalties, as well as the Shropshire Challenge Cup after beating Dawley Town 2-1 in the final.
Chairman at Telford Town FC, Hayden Dando said: "This club belongs to the people of Telford. Football should be accessible to everyone - especially our youngest fans and those who’ve served our country with honour.
"By offering the chance to have a free season ticket to more than 3,000 local children and welcoming members of the Armed Forces free of charge, we’re not just filling seats - we’re planting roots for the future.
"These stands should echo with laughter, passion, pride, and a sense of shared community every Saturday."
The club said the initiatives will launch this July, with ticket distribution running throughout July and August.
The junior season ticket programme will be coordinated in partnership with local schools across the Telford and Wrekin area.
