Driver who took cannabis and drove in the early hours of the morning in Shrewsbury loses job and gets road ban
A driver who was caught behind the wheel in the early hours of the morning after taking cannabis has lost his job and been banned from driving.
Sam Cole, aged 28, drove a Skoda Fabia on Battlefield Road in Shrewsbury on November 4 last year.
Telford Magistrates Court was told he was stopped by police at around 1am.
“He was on his own and was fully compliant with police,” said Kate Price, prosecuting.
He tested positive for drugs at the roadside and was arrested.
