Health and fitness club submits plans for 146-bedroom hotel in Shrewsbury
The owners of a Shrewsbury health club have submitted plans for a new on-site hotel.
Mosaic Spa, the owners of the Shrewsbury Club on Sundorne Road in Shrewsbury, has submitted an outline planning application to build a new 146-bedroom hotel on the site.
The application suggests the new hotel - which has been co-developed by Hilton Hotels - would be three or four storeys and built on land that is currently used for parking for the club.
The site is currently a health and tennis club with over 6,000 members, and the owners say it has a "growing reputation nationally for the provision of world tennis events".
