Three fire crews rushed to Magnolia Close in Bomere Heath, Shrewsbury, at 8.42pm on Monday evening after a call reported a house fire with people inside.

Firefighters from Baschurch and Shrewsbury stations attended the scene, alongside an operations officer.

But upon arrival, crews found the report to be a false alarm - one they believed to have been 'malicious'.

The teams spent around 20 minutes dealing with the incident, reporting it to be closed just after 9pm.
