The owners of Westhope Country Retreats, a group of holidays cottages situated in the Hope Valley near Craven Arms, have applied for permission to convert a former agricultural building into a gym and games room for visitors.

The application would see the re-development of the building through insulation and glazing, which the applicants say will breath newlife into the "underused building".

"It is proposed to convert the agricultural building into office, gym, store, toilets, showers, and games room in association with the established holiday let business," states the application, submitted by Roger Parry & Partners on behalf of the owners.

"It is anticipated that the change of use will have very little impact on the surroundings whilst preserving the portal frame building.
