County YFC chairman Rebecca Green came up with the idea for all 18 YFC clubs around Shropshire to undertake some community work or fundraising in their local community over the weekend.

Catherine Faulkner of Shropshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs said: "Clubs have some brilliant plans where all their members can get involved.

"To name a few, Whitchurch YFC are having a charity tractor run in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance, and Rushbury and Cardington YFC are hosting a Soup for Lent lunch on April 8 at Cardington Village Hall

"Brown Clee YFC are busy both days, clearing the primary school garden on Saturday, and on Sunday they are holding an afternoon tea at Ditton Priors Village Hall in aid of West Mercia Search and Rescue and Midlands Air Ambulance.

"We are sure that all involved will have a fabulous weekend making a difference in their local areas."
