Long tailbacks after car breaks down on A5 near Shrewsbury
There were long tailbacks on the A5 at Shrewsbury this afternoon due to a broken down car and heavy pre-weekend traffic.

Traffic was backed up, with delays of up to half an hour.
The delays were eastbound, between the Edgebold roundabout and the Dobbies roundabout where the A5 intersects with the A49.
A car pulling a trailer broke down near the Dobbies roundabout around noon, blocking one carriageway.
