The former Bar 27 and Boogie Nights building in Listley Street, Bridgnorth, which has been empty for a number of years, will become six flats.

Planning permission has been granted for the project at the 1960s building, which until 1996 was home to the Comrades Club, by Shropshire Council.

Each of the flats proposed by applicant William Cash, on behalf of developers SPB Properties, will have two double bedrooms, bathroom, ensuite and kitchen/living space.

The authority received one objection to the plans claiming the flats would overlook a house and garden 20 feet away.

A previous planning application to demolish the site and build eight homes was approved in June 2013 but work never began.
