Man airlifted to hospital after crash near Ludlow Golf Course

A man in his 40s was airlifted to hospital after a two-car crash near Ludow.

Police officers, fire crews and an ambulance also attended the incident, which happened on the B4365 outside Ludlow Golf Course at Bromfield at about 10.20am on Sunday.

John Hawker, from the West Midlands Ambulance Service, said one man sustained a serious arm injury and was treated at the scene before being airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

Mr Hawker said: "We were called at 10.10am to outside Ludlow Golf Course to reports of a serious road traffic collision.

"A man was treated for serious arm injuries at the scene by medics.

"The man, believed to be in his 40s, was then airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital major trauma unit for further emergency treatment.

"One ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene."
