Jewellery taken in Shropshire village raids
Two houses were broken into, with a third attempted break-in, in a small Shropshire village in the same evening.
Cash and jewellery were taken by burglars from two houses in Bucknell, between Ludlow and Knighton, on Saturday evening, with police calling for witnesses.
The first house, belonging to an elderly couple on the outskirts of the village, was broken into between 16.30pm and 10.30pm while the owners were out. Jewellery was targeted from the master bedroom.
A vacant neighbouring property was also targeted but it is not believed that entry was gained.
A further property in the centre of the village was broken into between 7pm and 11pm again while the owners were out, with cash was targeted on this occasion.
