Pictures: Drivers escape Telford bus crash with minor injuries

Two cars and a single decker bus crashed in Wellington today with drivers escaping with only minor injuries.

No one was seriously hurt during in the crash, which happened just before 9.20am on Vineyard Road.

The two cars, a Vauxhall Corsa and a Citroen Picasso, were in an accident with a single decker Arriva bus near to a bus stop.

Police, along with the Shropshire Fire and Rescue and West Midlands Ambulance Service were all sent to the scene.

However the drivers of each vehicle only suffered minor injures.

Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance: "We were called to reports of a car and a bus in collision at 9.19am yesterday (09).

"No one was trapped in their vehicles, and a woman in her 20s was treated and discharged at the scene with minor injures.

"The other drivers, both males, were also treated for minor injuries.

"No one required further treatment at hospital."

Police officers were at the scene directing traffic, as the accident was blocking one lane for a short period of time.

The bus was then moved into the nearby bus stop to help with the traffic flow.

Four fire crews from Telford Central and Wellington were sent to the scene at 9.18am but left the scene at 9.35am.

One ambulance was at the scene, along with two paramedics.
