Ludlow burglars target tools in sheds
Sheds and a caravan were broken into and power tools stolen during raids on three gardens in the Ludlow area in the space of 24 hours.
Two of the burglaries are thought to have taken place on the same night.
At Greenacres in the town, between 10am on Wednesday and 10.30am on Thursday, thieves smashed the padlock off the steel front door of a metal shed at the back of the victim's garden. They stole a Stihl chainsaw, chainsaw chains and chainsaw blades.
Between 10pm on Wednesday and 6am on Thursday, thieves entered a garden at the back of a home in the nearby village of Richards Castle and again forced entry to a garden shed. A red, orange and white coloured Stihl chainsaw was stolen.
Earlier, on Wednesday morning, there was an attempted burglary at Bromfield, near Ludlow.
The victim was awoken at 5.15am by two loud bangs, and later found a caravan parked in his grounds had been entered, as well as a shed in the garden.
A chair had been taken from the caravan and tools from the shed, but they were found at the front the house.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
