PC Mick Sturland, of West Mercia Police's Market Drayton safer neighbourhood team, said that offenders entered the store in the early hours of Tuesday, February 17 by smashing two windows and setting off the alarm.

PC Sturland said: "It appears, after a search confined to the foyer of the store, nothing has been taken. CCTV has been checked and enquiries are ongoing. There isn't an increase in crime at the moment, but we do suffer, periodically, spikes in crime types usually committed by well known persons to feed a drugs habit."

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers.
