He was taken to Hereford County Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "We are eager to speak to the kind samaritans who are thought to have helped Neil while he was missing, especially those who gave him a lift in their vehicles. We would also like to hear from anyone who saw Neil between the times of him being missing.

"Neil is 5'6'' in height with short light brown, coloured hair and wears glasses.

"At the time he went missing he was wearing a cream top with jogging bottoms and dark grey slippers.

"He also has two small tattoos on both arms, with one being of the Derby County Football logo and the other a small flower."
