Funeral date for Radio Shropshire founder Lawrie Bloomfield
The funeral of the founder and first managing editor of Radio Shropshire, Lawrie Bloomfield, is to take place in Bicton, near Shrewsbury, at 1pm on May 30.

Mr Bloomfield, who helped set up the BBC radio station in 1985 shortly after moving to the county from Southampton, died aged 80.
His funeral service is to be held at Bicton Church.
