Albrighton swimming pool set to open for summer season

The heated outdoor pool, based at Albrighton Primary School, in Newhouse Lane, will be open until the end of August, with weekend and after-school family sessions as well as adult only sessions.

Committee members will be on hand on Saturday and Sunday to welcome back former members and sign up new ones, from 2pm until 6pm,

All sessions have a qualified lifeguard on duty.

Club chairman Samantha Taylor said: "The pool is looking fantastic and hopefully by opening a week earlier than usual we will have chance to sign up lots more new members.

"We already have lifeguards in place for every session – but we are still desperately short of helpers and committee members."

Membership prices have been adjusted this year to a flat fee of £20, £5 for under fives and £3 for a guest swim.

The private hire of the pool is also available for parties.

The pool is open Tuesday and Thursday during term time with a family swim, from 4.30pm until 6pm, and adults only swim, from 6pm until 7pm.

Sessions will also be held at weekends throughout the season, from 2pm until 5pm for families, 5pm until 6pm for adults.

Holiday sessions run from 2pm until 5pm for family swimming and 6pm until 7pm for adult swimming.
