Cigarettes stolen in Telford petrol station burglary
Cigarettes were taken from a Shropshire petrol station which was burgled overnight.
The thieves got into the Shell garage at Sutton Maddock, near Telford, through the roof in the early hours of this morning.
Police are appealing for witnesses who might have seen the offenders on the roof or spotted other suspicious activity in the area.
Detective Inspector Mark Bellamy said: "We believe the burglary took place at some point between midnight and 4am.
"If anyone saw people acting suspiciously at or in the vicinity of the premises, or perhaps a vehicle parked up nearby, do contact Shrewsbury CID.
"We would welcome any information which might be related to this incident, or indeed, about those responsible."
It is not yet known how many cigarettes were taken or if anything else is missing.
