Shrewsbury launch for new mothers-in-law book

[gallery] It's the book with all the advice newly-wedded brides will need to deal with one of married life's prickliest subjects - how to deal with your mother-in-law.

Published

The book – Managing MIL – has been written by Shrewsbury-based author Katy Rink and was unveiled at a cocktail party at the town's Drapers Hall.

Guests at the reception even had the chance to try out a cocktail designed especially for the occasion – the MIL Club cocktail which was invented and mixed by bar staff.

Mrs Rink, a 37-year-old mother of two, described the book as "part serious, part funny".

It focuses on Daughters-in-Law Clubs – secret places where women meet to talk about their mothers-in-law over a glass of wine. It also depicts several different types of mother-in-law who soon-to-be-married women can expect to encounter.

The book is available for sale on Amazon.
