An update on the Shrewsbury West Sustainable Urban Extension will be given at a public meeting at Radbrook Primary School.

It will form part of the agenda for the meeting of the Bowbrook, Copthorne and Radbrook Local Joint Committee, on September 25 from 7pm.

Councillor Peter Nutting, chairman of the LJC group, said: "There is going to be a lot of development around the town over the coming years, and it is important that people have the opportunity to attend local meetings to find out what is going on and raise any issues they may have."

An update will also be provided about parking around the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and there will be a report from local police, funding updates and public questions.

It is intended the Shrewsbury West Sustainable Urban Extension will include the provision of approximately 750 new homes together with up to 12 hectares of employment land and a new Oxon Link Road between the A5 Bypass and the Holyhead Road.
