The Wheatsheaf and Anchor pubs in Frankwell, Shrewsbury, will hold their real ale, cider and music festival.

The festivities start on Friday at noon and continue until Sunday.

This year's event will raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Punters will enjoy a host of live music from local bands, including The Essentials, The Excellorators, The Endings, Alternative Route, Hot Rod 55, Sound Excuse and Rolo Benz.

More than 24 real ales, ciders, perry and fruit wines will be on offer at the festival, and there will also be a barbecue.

Earlier this month hundreds of real ale lovers descended on a Shropshire village for its annual beer and cider festival.

More than 20 different varieties of real ale and cider from across the county were on offer at Montford Parish Hall in Montford Bridge. The beer and cider festival was celebrating its fifth anniversary with live music and a barbecue.

Funds raised from the event went towards the upkeep of Montford Parish Hall, which is 60 years old.

Local bands who performed included acoustic duo The Montfords, Shrewsbury Sixth Form band Polly and the Wolf, and The Right Handies, from Knockin Cricket Club.

Real ale from the Salopian brewery in Shrewsbury and the Six Bells in Bishop's Castle went down a storm at the festival and punters left with a commemorative glass.
