The development off Lightmoor Way gained approval from Telford & Wrekin Council's planning committee last night.

The bid was met with objection from Horsehay residents who fear it would "engulf" their village.

Telford MP David Wright backed villagers by writing to the authority about whether a "significant buffer of open space" was being left between the development and properties off Lightmoor Way.
