Past Times shuts Shrewsbury store down

The Past Times gift shop in Shrewsbury has shut with the loss of six jobs after the company went into administration.

The store, in Pride Hill, closed its doors as part of plans to shut down all of the company's branches as a result of its financial difficulties.

Alison Anderson, a spokesman for administrator KPMG, confirmed it had closed for the final time last week.

She said: "The administrators are now actioning the closure plan which we announced when we were appointed on January 16.

"There were 50 stores open when we were appointed.

"About 35 which are still open will be closing over the next few weeks."
