The cash is part of a £3.6 million Government grant for the county handed out this year to repair roads.
Councillor Martin Taylor-Smith, Shropshire councillor for Ludlow South, said more money had been spent on the town's roads in the past six years than in the previous five years. He said it had made a noticeable difference to the town.
He added: "We have also put down yellow lines in areas like Sheet Road and Townsend Close to make the roads safer."
