Two men have been arrested after a "tracker" device alerted detectives to a stolen luxury car parked on the driveway of a south Shropshire home, police said today.

The security device triggered an automatic alarm in a passing police car and after a 15-minute hunt, officers found the car outside a house in Baker Close, Ludlow, at 3.50pm on Wednesday.

A 26-year-old man was arrested about an hour later in Ludlow and a 39-year-old man was detained in Clee Hill later that same evening. Both men were arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft and released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Forensic experts are examining the grey Audi A5, which police believe may have been stolen during a burglary in Alveley, and studying a black Peugeot 307 which was seized from a house in Clee Hill.
