Quote from our MP on March 3, 2010 in response to refusal of routes to London from Shrewsbury on Arriva Trains Wales. Daniel Kawczynski, MP for Shrewsbury, said he was "delighted" with the decision. "I'm absolutely thrilled. All of the Shropshire MP's worked very well together to lobby the regulator to prevent Arriva having this service".

Didn't see a great deal of input from Daniel in the press beforehand. Does he support "open competition" or not? Running with the hare and the hounds, or jumping on the bandwagon seems to be a common theme in the letters pages these days.
