moneyLetter: How to waste the nation's money:

1. Remove the prestigious identification of the most famous postal service in the world and repaint 32,000 vehicles with the word Consignia, then to soon be repainted to almost original. Cost 2 x 32,000 is 64,000 repaints, plus premises signs and stationery. Cost minimum £70 million-plus at a guess.

2. Remove "Airways" from national airline livery then shortly afterwards repaint "Airways" again.

3. Remove national flag from BA planes' tails and repaint with psychedelic designs, then again shortly repainted with the national UK flag colours as original.

4. Remove and probably scrap all "Dixon of Dock Green" lanterns from police station entrances – then alas, later replace with new lanterns as original.

Where do the idiots who originate these stupid ideas and their "conned" associates come from, and where do they go with their golden handshakes?

Add all this commercial wastage to that created by our useless "nose in trough" politicians whose performance is to sell the UK down the river at £50 million a day to a useless EU club, whose accountants will not clear their accounts for 15 years.

Add the foregoing to the UK's massive debts, over population in relation to facilities and lumbered with two unwinnable wars – where are we going?

We certainly need a "new captain" and crew on the "flightdeck" before we go into a final irrecoverable stall.
