Firefighters had to go to the rescue of a five-year-old child who got a finger stuck in a door of a canal boat moored near Oswestry.

Firefighters had to go to the rescue of a five-year-old child who got a finger stuck in a door of a canal boat moored near Oswestry.

A crew from Chirk was called to help release the child's finger from a door lock on the boat, which was moored on the Llangollen Canal at Chirk Bank, at 5.45pm yesterday.

The child was uninjured.
