Will this be Kate's year?
Amy Bould takes a look at this afternoon's Oscar nominations.

Kate Winslet has been nominated for an Oscar five times and never won. But 2009 could be the 33-year-old's year after being nominated as best actress for her performance in The Reader.
The British actress was already riding high, with a double Golden Globe triumph and two Bafta nominations under her belt. Winslet picked up two Golden Globes for The Reader and Revolutionary Road earlier this month.
The films earned her two leading actress nominations at this year's Bafta ceremony.
Winslet has said she is planning to prepare a speech for the Baftas, following her gushing acceptance at the Golden Globes.
Speaking at the London premiere of Revolutionary Road, Winslet said: "It's been a remarkable two years, I think, for films in general and there's some absolutely stunning performances out there so to be up there with those heavyweights is really amazing."
The star, who has won the best supporting actress Bafta for Sense And Sensibility, was very emotional at the Golden Globes ceremony, telling the audience: "I'm sorry, I have a habit of not winning things."
Winslet's rivals are Anne Hathaway for Rachel Getting Married, Meryl Streep for Doubt, Angelina Jolie for Changeling and Melissa Leo for Frozen River.
The nominations are a double celebration for Mr and Mrs Brad Pitt, with Jolie up against Winslet and her husband Brad nominated for best actor for his performance in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Pitt's film scooped 13 nominations, followed by the surprise box office hit Slumdog Millionaire.
Directed by Danny Boyle, the film has already won a clutch of Golden Globes and Critics' Choice Awards and was a high-profile Bafta nominee, receiving 11 nods.
It has 10 Oscar nominations with Batman blockbuster, the Dark Knight, receiving eight, including a posthumous nomination for supporting actor for Heath Ledger.
Bookmaker William Hill says both Slumdog Millionaire and Winslet are the red hot favourites to win Oscars, with Winslet 1/7 to win one and Slumdog placed at 4/11 to win best picture.
